I caught up with the UK’s and Nashville’s very own Sam Palladio recently in Nashville just before he took the stage at the City Winery for the #Band Together 1989 Tribute concert (You can read that review here)

Hey so I’m here with Sam, how are you doing?

Very very good thank you.

Keeping busy?

More than you know!

Yeah literally just come from set filming here in Nashville, Season Four about an hour ago.  Just finished filming and straight here to some awesome venues to play some music.

And who are you on stage with this evening?

I’m sharing the stage with John and Jacob, they’re fantastic friends and great fans.

Another UK favourite!

Yes.. UK favorites and we’re are going to be doing some collaborations this summer so more on that to come but yeah it’s going to be an exciting summer for them and for me.

So last C2C you took the stage with the songwriters. How was that? you were up on stage with some awesome names.

I was yes.  I mean Jess Alexander, John Randall, Kip Brooks, oh man it was a real honour to be included.

I didn’t really feel like I’d earnt it but at least we put a lot of hard work in with this TV show and you know, always just been a champion of music my whole life so it felt very privileged to be up there and hope that I can be singing my number one hits sometime in the future.

Absolutely! I was lucky enough to catch you at the CMA Songwriters “Men of Nashville” that looked like you just had a lot of fun on the stage.

It was – we’re all great friends so for us to – and we also all really appreciate each others talents and each others song writing.  I sit there listening to Chris Carmack and Johnathan Jackson and Charles Esten and really love their music as a fan as well as a friend.

Yes, I love the picture of him with his Sam t-shirt on, that’s fantastic.  Did you force him to put that on?

No!

You just paid him in a few beers.

Yeah exactly.

So of course the big question is are you going to be coming back to do any shows in the UK?

Absolutely yes.

I can’t give you any exact details right now, we’re formulating – there’s also potential of a big Nashville cast tour that may well becoming over, so I’ll tease you with that but yes I will definitely.

I think I’m back in June to do some shows so more on that to come in the next month or so as that gets locked down but you know I’ve got – I guess C2C last year really brought it home the fact that I have a lot of fans which I didn’t realise.

I’ve been living in the States for three four years and working hard over here and I didn’t realise it was paying off back home as well.  So it’s an amazing thing.

My mind was absolutely blown last year at C2C.  And it just kind of kicked me up a gear to be like this is something I really want to do and I want to get home and connect with these fans of mine.

Fantastic.  Thank you Sam! Look forward to seeing you back in the UK very soon

Hi, I’m Annette, I have been a huge country music fan since the early 90s those were the days we were lucky enough to have CMT in the UK. I enjoy nothing more than listening to country music whilst having a cold beer (or a moonshine) with friends. I try to as many gigs as I can here in the UK and in the USA; I think of Nashville as my second home and I am lucky to have made some amazing friends in Tennessee. Think Country is something I am very proud of, I just want to share my love and passion of all things country music related with you all.
